The Shakespeare Ensemble Compact

This document describes the roles, responsibilities, and members of The Shakespeare Ensemble.

Decision-Making

• When necessary, decisions of the Ensemble will be made by consensus of the active members.
• Any active member can call for a decision to be made and recorded at any time.

Members

• The list of members of The Shakespeare Ensemble will be kept up to date at the bottom of this document.
• Members may be active or inactive. Members are assumed to be active unless otherwise noted in the list of members.
• All members (whatever their current status) have the right to attend meetings, raise projects, communicate their opinions to the Ensemble, and engage in all activity of the Ensemble.

Changing Status

• An active member can change their own status to inactive at any time, by notifying the active members. Their name will remain on the list of members, with their inactive status indicated.
• An inactive member can change their own status to active at any time, by notifying the active members.

Ending Membership

• A member can end their membership at any time, by notifying the active members. Their name will be removed from the list of members.

Adding Members

• A member can be added to the list of members by a decision of the Ensemble.

Record-keeping

• A record will be kept of all decisions, and any changes to the list of members. This record will be accessible to all members.
