-By typing my name below before 4pm GMT on Friday, 13th of November, 2020, I indicate my desire to be considered a member of The Shakespeare Ensemble.
+This document describes the role, responsibilities, and members of a governing body for The Shakespeare Ensemble.
+Those whose names are listed at the bottom of this document will be considered Governing Members, or members of the governing body of The Shakespeare Ensemble.
+The Ensemble includes other members who take part in projects and other activities but don't choose to take part in governance-related decision making. Nevertheless the presence and activities of these non-governing members is vital to the functioning of the Ensemble. The use of the term "members" in this document should be taken to refer to those who've chosen to take part in governance activities, and not to exclude any other members of the Ensemble-at-large.
