the_compact:revisions_to_be_drafted
This is an old revision of the document!
The following were floated in meetings or etc, but language hasn't been drafted yet:
- definition of consensus
- including an ability to “stand aside” rather than “vote no” (see Decision Making for lots of resources)
- the temporary-ness of the compact (or it's limited scope)
- expiration date?
- what kinds of decisions require A Decision and which do not
Some thoughts:
what kinds of decisions require A Decision and which do not
Maybe we trust the ensemble to know when A Decision is necessary. The revision-1b has this language: “Any active member can call for a decision to be made and recorded at any time.”
But it certainly doesn't hurt to offer guidelines. Possibly in a supplemental document? or an appendix?
